During the last few weeks, Asa has started to do things he hasn't done before. The new happenings of Asa are always surprising, such as rolling from side to side, because he just does it without us teaching him. Also, they happen very subtly because Asa is not one to brag or gloat when he does something new - we have to watch for it.
While the world around us is screaming words like recession, nuclear weapons, Somali pirates, and swine flu virus, me and Dev enjoy the tranquility in watching Asa change.
What is he doing that is new? Thanks for asking.
He is now -
1. Eating oatmeal cereal.
2. Sucking on his toes and chewing on his feet.
3. Pulling objects to his face.
4. Laughing.
5. Playing in the bathtub (splashing).
6. Trying to roll over.
7. Putting himself to sleep without crying (every once in a while).
8. Drooling a lot.
9. Working on sitting up...or falling over gracefully.

Thanx, Stu and Dev, for reminding us of what the "real" things are that matter...and that we must stop and smell the roses (or oatmeal, or poopy diapers, sometimes) and to see through YOUR eyes, to see your beautiful child, Asa, and thank God that we can be a part of his life through your sharing on "The We Tree."
