Anyways, the point of me telling you about the talking Ferbie is to say Asa has turned into a talking machine, only not as creepy. I woke up this morning to Asa beating on his door yelling "OMEE! OPEE!"
It seems that Omee and Hunny are his two favorite words, so the ladies in the nursery asked Dev on Sunday what he was trying to say. They thought Hunny was "I need..." and Omee was "Oh, me!" meaning "Oh, my!" A few days ago while Asa was in time out, he was yelling "HUNNY! OMEE!" as if he were calling out for them to save him. Cute kid. Not gonna happen while in time-out.
What he understands and what he recognizes amazes me. Like the other day, we were sitting in a restaurant and a man with a shaved head and facial hair just like my dad (Pop Pop) walked by. Asa pointed and yelled "BOP BOP"! Whenever he wants you to pick him up, he says "UP!" If he wants more food or drink, he says "mo" and if he wants it really bad, he will say "mo peas" (translated - More Please).
Just for fun, we decided to capture some of his words on camera...
We are of the opinion kids are never to young to have chores, especially if they are able to understand and talk. So Asa has three chores as a 20 mo old kid...
1. Put his blocks back in their plastic containers.
2. Put his dirty clothes in the dirty clothes basket.
3. Take his dirty diapers to the trash can.
Believe it or not, he will get mad if you do not let him put his dirty diapers or his dirty clothes where they belong.

He's at a fun stage. Much more fun than that creepy Ferbie ever was.

This is the most adorable video ever!! My grandson is a genius! I love you, my Asa.
Just makes your buttons pop with pride. Ace has mastered so many words so fast. I see speeches in the future. Probably about something with bright lights and buttons...like the Space Shuttle!
O-MEEEE loves A-SAAA!
*pop*
Stu, I wonder where he got that trait? Hmmm? He is just so smart and so precious! I can hardly wait to see his little brother who will probably be born on Saturday, October 23rd!
