bad word

Somebody taught Asa a bad word and it wasn't me.

Here's the deal people - Asa's new favorite word is "SIT"...at least that is how I am going to spell it. He says it over and over for no apparent reason.

I'm not one to point fingers but he either learned it in the nursery at church or from my siblings on vacation.

[sigh]

I don't know how you people sleep at night.

On a side note, Dev is looking beautiful and prego. The baby will be here in no time.

there is something about the almost two year old segment and the words they try to say. We had friends whose little boy that Dawson's age dropped the TR and added an F when trying to say "truck"... Oh yeah. As a little testosterone filled boy, what was his favorite play toy??

(Daddy was a Methodist minister as well)

oh yes, like Ace's word for cookie or cracker comes out "Ca-Ca"! So innocence has to be taken into account. Dev will have to record all these in his memories book. too funny. love seeing what is new with Ace every day.

Funny thing, Diana, Kaley calls something "Ca-ca" too, but I can't remember what it is! But, she doesn't say "sit." She has led a very sheltered life. I can remember when Rebekka came home the first day and told me that was a bad word, though, and she said it perfectly after being in speech therapy for 3 years...we actually celebrated her pronouncing a "blend" for the first time secretly, and then found out the "rest of the story."

okay, we figured out who the bad guys are. US. We have been showing Ace how to give Briscoe treats, but he has to tell him to "sit" first and then tell him "okay" to take the treat. So......guilty!
